This story is blamed on a person and a storm. Summer of '98 brought Condor lusting via ICQ with Nish and a few days later, she sent me tempting little notes that became the first paragraphs of both the hammock scene and the dinner scene. A few weeks later Hurricane Georges kept me out of work for a couple of days while it contemplated whether or not it was going to hit the West Coast of Florida, so I played with it a little. I should have been working on the next part of Flights of Fatality, instead of this. (Sorry Nish!) What started out as a Joe/Jun story became a Jason/Princess story, mainly because I decided to make this one the lead-in to a much larger story, one that I actually completed before Nish even sent the initial scenes. A faint hint of noise reached him, something that didn’t quite belong mixed with the sounds of the beach surrounding him. He tensed, a subtle tensing that most people wouldn’t have noticed. Created from unbelievably small tiles in every conceivable color, the flowers were so real that she imagined she would be able to feel the petals if she were to touch it. "I could really learn to love it here." Princess sighed and settled back into the soft pillows. The balcony doors were open, allowing a breeze to ruffle the curtains. She could have sworn the doors were closed when she had climbed into bed, but then, she had been so tired, Jason could have played his favorite heavy metal and she would never have heard it.
